How the Chill Plays daily challenges work
Once a day, every game on this page deals one special round — and it's the same round for every player on the planet. The board is generated from the date itself, so your friend in another timezone digs the same words out of SWEEP, faces the same PATTERN NINE matrix and launches the same CHILL CIRCUS act you do. One attempt per game per day; come back tomorrow for a fresh deal.
Dailies are the site's shared campfire: finish one and you get a spoiler-free result card to compare with friends — how you did, never what the answer was. Ten games currently deal dailies across words, trivia, logic and physics.
When do the daily challenges reset?
Midnight UTC, all games at once. The date shown at the top of this page is the current daily's deal date.
Do I need an account to keep a streak?
No. Streaks and completed rounds are saved on your device only — no sign-up, no profile. The trade-off: a new device or cleared browser storage starts a fresh streak.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing dramatic — that day's boards are simply gone and your streak resets. There's no way to replay a past daily, which is what keeps the shared result cards honest.
Are daily rounds harder than normal ones?
Some are tuned differently — MINE WORD's daily gives you 6 rows instead of 10, for instance — but they're drawn from the same verified-solvable generators as regular rounds. Hard days happen to everyone at once, which is half the fun.
Can I play the dailies offline?
Yes. Each daily board is generated on your device from the date itself — no download needed — so today's deal works in airplane mode and still matches every other player's board.
